Excellent view of the statue. The tour goes around twice so both sides of the boat get a great photo op.

“Letter” In the ticket number - Beware
Melissa_M
, Jun 2021
I would’ve given the experience five stars but I bought five tickets for my family and one of the tickets was rejected at both locations - the Empire State building and the Circle line. Both workers at each ticket booth said the same thing -sometimes Viator makes a mistake and puts a letter in the middle of the ticket number and when they do, the ticket to comes invalid. You have to wait on line at customer service, explain the situation and get a new ticket. So look at your ticket numbers and get ahead of it before you miss your cruise! Other than that hassle it was a good experience.

It was really nice to see the Statue of Liberty from a different perspective and to have points of interest on both shore lines pointed out and explained. We had a great/funny tour guide.

Nice short tour. If you don’t upgrade to premium, you can’t go to the upper deck of the boat. Still nice on lower deck though. There’s no air conditioning on upper deck.

Do not use Viator

So - you go online and buy a ticket. Guess what happens when you show up? They say "that's just a voucher, now you get in the ticket line, like everyone else, and they give you a ticket" So we had showed up early, and it was crowded. We bought tickets online to avoid that. But we had to wait in the same line as everyone who just showed up - the TICKET LINE - for 45 minutes, to get our tickets. We had read it was "first come first serve" as to getting on the ship. So our wait lost us any good seats. Do not use this - show up early and buy the tickets in person.
