Garment Center Shopping Tour is worth it!!
My daughter in law and I did the Garment District tour just this week and we already trying to figure out when we can do it again. We really really enjoyed this program! The showrooms offered quality and stylish items at genuinely irresistible prices. Our guide Sarah was more like a lovely, knowledgeable and entertaining friend and the designers were warm and welcoming, exerting zero pressure on us to buy. Excited by our new items and at the prospect of coming back in another season. Nicely done Shop Gotham. We recommend you!

When to Get There

To shop, plan to arrive to the Garment District during business hours, Monday to Saturday. Expect more foot traffic at evening rush hour, since Penn Station—a bustling transit hub—is nearby. Walking the neighborhood is the best way to explore, so plan to arrive in spring, summer, or fall, since New York winters are notoriously chilly. Visit during Fashion Week for top-notch people-watching; select events are open to the public.
